A bit about me. My name is Terry, I live in Kent in the south east of England. By trade I am a traditional old school cabinet maker /antique restorer and wood carver. I also have a keen interest in cooking and do the occasional medieval banquet and dabble in catering. Here are a few examples of furniture I have made. I have a website for the furniture if you would like to see more, click on this link ' terencedavieswoodartist.co.uk 'to go to the website.

From an early age I've always had a mild obsession with Castles and have wanted a Castle since I was about 6 years old. Im now 60 and have finally got my Castle, smaller than I was hoping for and I didn't think I'd have to build it myself but at least I have achieved my goal. For the past 4 years I have been spending my weekends building my Castle, a Teardrop Trailer Camper in the style of an Arthurian castle. Using my skills as a cabinet maker and woodcarver I designed and built my camper with elaborate carvings, engravings and wood burnings depicting scenes from the King Arthur legend which I have always had a fascination with.

The idea I have in mind is to play out my fantasy world by travelling with my Castle and sometimes just in the van which I am also converting, to visit ancient sites, castles, cathedrals and places of historic interest and legends. I will also do a spot of cooking at the camp and be giving hints and tips on camping and camp cooking as a seasoned camper having camped all my life in tents.I also have a fascination with paleoanthropology which is basically the evolution of man and am studying this subject. Although really early evidence cannot be seen without digging in Archaeological sites, from the Neolithic period onwards there are great stone circles, burial chambers and a large host of other amazing structures which I intend to visit and unravel their mysteries. My YouTube channel will explore all these things and give an insight to how the people lived in days gone by in the amazing history of Britain. So pop over to YouTube and search for 'The Tiny Castle - Trails and Tales 'and please subscribe to my channel. It's just starting up and I will post as often as I can, as I get more established I will be able to post more often.
